Special Friday tour! What makes an inspiring space for you??
Natural light 100%
Love your videos Andrew! Would be a great addition/feature to your videos to include studio/space dimensions in each tour.
Accent lighting. I have a dragon egg, got overhead speaker monitor lights after watching your light video, and some warm lighting. It’s definitely helped my workflow.
I like this studio tour because this seems closer to what a lot of our studios would look like as far as not having expensive anything. It’s more about practicality and getting stuff done.
Loved this studio tour - Austin seems like a super chill and relatable guy.
yea, I could spend a day in the studio with austin and never get tired or quit laughing, what a genuine dude.
3:01 Cool, he's got the Caspar David painting 🖤
Nice work having his libraries mentioned. We all love hardware but the sample libraries and most-often-used plugins are probably more useful and within reach for most people.
I love your channel Andrew. Your relaxed energy and the sincere enthousiasm of the guests is very nice to hear and watch. I'm a beginning DAW / Composer / Songwriter and this guy feels the most close to my own ambitions. Great "little" setup that feels really obtainable. Thnx for this!
Shoutout to the Oblique Strategies! Have had those on my desk forever
Thx for this tour, I love seeing other composer/songwriter spaces. His space is a vibe 🤙🏾
I like this dudes approach....
What a fun Friday surprise! Awesome studio and tour!
The Pill. Waited months for mine too, but so happy to have it, just for ducking duties. 😊
Loved this tour! I checked out the trailer he referenced and wow, the movie looks amazing and the music is BEAUTIFUL.
Couldn’t have picked a better guy to interview. Austin gave me my first feature film-which changed my life! Love that guy!
💛
Working to set up my own composer studio this is so right up my ally as can possibly be.
I especially like the idea of spreading your various libraries, sequencers etc. onto separate machines/ servers.
Personally I´d concentrate on a main machine for just Cubase and production pluins, a separate machine for Propellorhead Reason with all the complimentary synth libraries and midi control of my keyboards and synths ( huge Tangerine Dream, Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre fan here), being the Stringlord I wouldn´t be needing bass and guitar plug ins ( maybe for a compact mobile laptop studio,- but not the main one) but a separate machine for ALL drum libraries from Toontrack: Supeior Drummer as well as Ez Drummer as wall as Metal Foundry as well as....
And the the coveted Soundcraft 32 channel analog mixer,- happy days.
I really like the way this guy put up his playroom. :)
Oh that sounds very cool! From the music you've sent me in the past (which usually has had an orchestral/cinematic element), it doesn't surprise me that you'd be more of a composer. Can't wait to hear how it all turns out.
"nothing fancy" - camera pans to chase bliss, red panda, oto machines pedals
The BEST home studio tour!! imho.... Awesome!!! thinc hear realy musician profi!
You gotta do more composer studio tours!!! 🔥🔥
I've done quite a few (they aren't all titled composer):

Andrew . . . love the new format on this video! Keep it up!!!!
Oh, and of course the Andrew Masters Drum Pack.
!!
Man tweaking at his finest love it studio is 🔥
So jelly! Very cool😎
love the kalimba
Great video Andrew! I would love to know more about how his sample library servers are set up. how they run and hardware. Very insightful video, thank you.
Love these home studio visits, which is a lot more than a home studio visit...
Nit picking, but putting the Lav mic on the T-shirt collar gets it in the chin shadow, making is sound slightly off. Pro sound is in the details...
Awesome setup! Love the ChoiSauce controller. I think I might need to pick one of those up. I have been looking for a good midi expression/mod box for making moves as I play in parts.
Love all the pedals as well.
Pleeeeease get Austin on the podcast!
Love his pedal setup. Up high and within reach. I can’t believe it is so hard to find something like this to mount your pedals.
I’ve got the eno card deck too…. crazy
Where can we get those cards/deck that said “use filters”
Whats the name of the bryan eno cards set?
well fuck!! im looking to buy that same bass guitar in a few hours! its meant to be
I always see all these videos on guys working on movies and shows. How do I even get started on doin this type of work. I would love to do this as my work and actually enjoy my work. Please let me know.
Thanks
He tells the story of exactly how he started. Interning at a trailer house, and then again interning for free at Hanz Zimmer’s. Slowly working his way up one opportunity at a time.
It's called sync licensing. I make music for tv. I am signed with a couple of music libraries. They then pitch my music to shows that need music. Movie and film scoring might be harder to get into.
I have that bass it rips
i thought this was the studio which on Ableton Live website, but seems it's not. Whose studio is that one?
anyone else notice the minecraft painting guy on the wall?
Nice setup and nice studio tour, as usual! I've noticed the practice/muffler felt on the piano is cut into tiny strips. I'm guessing it's to prevent the felt from touching the adjacent note's strings and generating wierd harmonics. Does anyone know if this is DIY, or a common mod? I'm looking to do that on my U1! Thanks :)
DIY scissors!
very cool, but if I never hear the word “like” again it won’t be too soon. Seems like a great guy 😁

My guy!
Hi Ulf!
@@arianamastersofficial
Hi to you Ariana.
Long winter and spring,-summer´s finally here,- both our parents died, moving into new house, son starting in a new school and I´m finally about to rent some derelict auto garage in the industrial part of the town we moved to to put up my own studio and start making music and quite possibly start filming too..
Good checking in with you guys again,- hope everything is well with y´all?
(Isn´t that the way it´s written?)
@@ulfdanielsen6009 I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am however happy to hear about your kiddos new school and your NEW STUDIO! I look forward to hearing how this new move will treat you. And yes, we are doing well, thank you. (You spelled "y'all" perfectly). Thanks for checking in.
