Welcome to Wikipedia!

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I myself am a relatively new Wikipedian and personally hold no administrative rank. I was given the same treatment that I am giving you; You can thank Eeekster for motivating me to do this. It is the duty of myself and fellow Wikipedians to make you feel welcome, and we hope you decide to stay. But that is not the only reason for my speaking.

Your joke of an "article", Chadwick Interplanetary, has been nominated for speedy deletion, and rightly so. You seem to be a newcomer, so I will inform you that pages like that are considered vandalism, and will never, and I repeat, NEVER be tolerated by administrators. With that in mind, I advise that you check this page out. If that was a test, then be advised to keep your tests within the confines of the sandbox.

I have made mistakes (no citation, bad articles, etc.) that were considered vandalism and suffered the consequences. Here's to you not having a like predicament.

Cheers! sb 02:26, 11 March 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cp72 (talkcontribs)

Welcome and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Chadwick School worked, and it has been reverted or removed. However, if you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox instead. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. tedder (talk) 05:07, 22 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Chadwick Interplanetary

edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Chadwick Interplanetary, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Please stop introducing jokes into articles, such as those you created at Chadwick School. Wikipedia is a serious encyclopedia, and contributions of this type are considered vandalism. Continuing to add jokes and other disruptive content into articles may lead to your being blocked from editing. tedder (talk) 05:12, 11 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Christen Press.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Christen Press.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Please stop

edit

What the heck are you trying to do re-uploading the same picture again and again under new names? Please stop doing that. If you want this picture, select one copy of those you've already uploaded, and finally do what you've been asked to do numerous times: provide proper copyright and source information for it. Sorry. Those images are different. They are cropped differently. No one gave me a class in wikipedying. --Rivertoucher (talk) 21:16, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Christen Press 57.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Christen Press 57.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Blocked

I have blocked you indefinitely for repeatedly and persistently uploading images which you know to be copyrighted and fraudulently claiming them as your own work. You have been doing this for nearly two years and you have done almost nothing else besides knowingly add copyright violations to articles. If you wish to appeal, you may do so by adding {{unblock|reason you should be unblocked}} below this message. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:29, 15 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
